Summary
This Cookie Policy explains how Zym Labs, LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and in our hosted services, and how you can control them. It supplements Section 4 of our Privacy Policy at https://zymlabs.com/legal/privacy. In plain terms:
- Three kinds of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies that make the site work, analytics cookies that tell us how it is used, and advertising cookies that measure our marketing and show you ads for our services elsewhere.
- Advertising cookies appear only on our marketing website. Never inside the signed-in product, and never on our customers' websites or apps.
- You choose. Visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland are asked before any analytics or advertising cookie is set. Visitors elsewhere can opt out at any time. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal everywhere.
- Change your mind any time at https://zymlabs.com/legal/cookies.
1Scope
This Policy covers our public websites, including zymlabs.com and its subdomains, documentation, and marketing pages (the "Sites"), and the authenticated web application and APIs of our hosted services (the "Services"). It does not cover cookies, pixels, or SDKs that our customers deploy on their own websites and applications using our products. Those are controlled by the customer, are described in the customer's own privacy notice, and are governed by Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
2What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies that serve the same purposes: pixels and tags (small images or scripts that record that a page or email was loaded), and local storage and session storage in your browser. This Policy calls all of them "cookies."
A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by a different domain, usually an analytics or advertising provider. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains until it expires or you delete it.
3Categories We Use
Category | Purpose | Consent | Where used |
|---|---|---|---|
Strictly necessary | Sign-in, session management, security tokens, load balancing, fraud prevention, remembering your cookie choices. The Sites and Services do not work without them. | Not required; cannot be switched off | Sites and Services |
Analytics | Understanding which pages and features are used, where errors occur, and how visitors arrive, so we can improve the Sites and Services. Reports are aggregated. | Opt-in in the EU, UK, and Switzerland; opt-out elsewhere | Sites and Services |
Advertising | Measuring whether our marketing campaigns lead to sign-ups, and showing you ads for our Services on other websites and networks based on your visit to our Sites. | Opt-in in the EU, UK, and Switzerland; opt-out elsewhere | Sites only |
We do not use advertising cookies inside the Services, and our JavaScript snippet and SDKs never set advertising cookies on customers' websites or applications.
4Cookies and Providers
The table below lists the providers that set cookies on our Sites and Services, the category each belongs to, how long their cookies last, and where you can read the provider's own privacy information. Lifetimes are the maximum the provider sets.
Provider | Category | What it does | Lifetime | Provider information |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Zym Labs, LLC | Strictly necessary | Session, authentication, CSRF protection, consent record | Session to 12 months | This Policy |
Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Analytics | Web analytics for the Sites: pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate location from IP address, device type | Up to 24 months | https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies |
[Product analytics provider] | Analytics | Usage analytics inside the Services: features used, errors, session replays where enabled | [Lifetime] | [Provider privacy URL] |
Google Ads (Google LLC) | Advertising | Conversion measurement and remarketing for our advertising on Google properties and partner sites | Up to 24 months | https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Corporation) | Advertising | Conversion measurement and retargeting for our advertising on LinkedIn | Up to 6 months | https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy |
Where a provider also uses the information for its own purposes, that provider is an independent controller of that information under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics is configured without advertising features.
5Your Choices
5.1 Consent banner. If you visit the Sites from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we show a banner before setting any analytics or advertising cookie, and set them only if you accept. Declining or ignoring the banner leaves only strictly necessary cookies in place. We record your choice in a strictly necessary cookie for up to 12 months.
5.2 Opt-out elsewhere. If you visit from anywhere else, analytics and advertising cookies may be set when you arrive. You can opt out at any time in the cookie settings at https://zymlabs.com/legal/cookies.
5.3 Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of any sale or sharing of your personal information, wherever you are located, and we do not ask you to confirm.
5.4 Cookie settings. The settings page at https://zymlabs.com/legal/cookies lets you turn analytics and advertising cookies on or off separately. Your choice applies to the browser and device you are using; if you use another browser or device, or clear your cookies, you will need to make the choice again.
5.5 Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and some block third-party cookies by default. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the Services.
5.6 Do Not Sell or Share. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which some of those laws consider our advertising cookies to be, at https://zymlabs.com/legal/do-not-sell. Section 10 of the Privacy Policy describes those rights.
6Tracking in Messages Our Customers Send
Email and text messages that our customers send through the Services may contain tracking pixels and tracked links that record when a message is opened or a link is clicked. That information is Customer Data processed on the customer's behalf, and the customer, not this Policy, governs it. To stop it, unsubscribe from the customer's messages or contact the customer directly.
7Changes
We may update this Policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. We will post the updated Policy at https://zymlabs.com/legal/cookies with a new effective date and, where the law requires new consent, we will ask for it.
